Until recently I was a PvE addict, but since most of my guildies left the game, the heavy instance raids didn’t seem to be much fun anymore. PvE being boring, I decided to re-orientate my toon to PvP. I was familiar enough with the battlegrounds but I really didn’t know much about the arena, so I asked one of the gladiators on my server, the guildmaster of a powerful PvP guild, to share a few of his secrets with me . He saying that [spin]he didn’t have time [spin]for disciples and he told me about a WoW PvP guide.
I digged up this guide and assimilated all the knowledge about every aspect of PvP and arena in there, and after a couple of dozens of matches, applying everything I’ve learned, results have started to show. Therefore, I’m going to share here, a few PvP tips for arena this nicely made WoW PvP guide has taught me, which anyone would hopefull find useful.
1. Firstly, choose a setup to fit to your character and play style. For example, if you are a rogue don’t group with a warrior. A setup like that will work only if you have years of experience or gear. So, choose the right people to play with you.
2. Get all the arena and PvP addons that your system can hold. Starting a battle without addons is quite a disadvantage versus your opponents.
3. A program to communicate with your team mates is a must! I recommend skype, ventrilo or even yahoo messenger. If you want to play arena for reaching high ranks, you cannot even think of playing without a speaker.
4. Make sure your toon is properly specced for the arena content. Even if you are successful in battlegrounds with one spec, just by missing one single talent can take your team mates to failure. This WoW PvP guide has fortunately taught me everything I needed to know about the arena specs for my toons.
5. Learn all the advantages that any arena chamber can offer your character and use them to vanquish your opponents. Also, never start an arena fight without buffs, so buff up your buddies or remind them to buff you.
6. If the character you play is a caster, don’t forget to buy mana. Sometimes you can find the time to recover in arena so make sure you fill up your inventory before any arena session with arena water.
These are just a few tips that I hope were helpful enough to boost up your PvP gameplay at least a little. If not, then I strongly recommend you a solid and full WoW PvP guide, written by a pro, the one that I’ve been using.
